When people sign up for your email list via Civic Shout Lead Ads, you can have their contact info synced to your Engaging Networks (EN) account in real-time.
Step 1:
Create a new Permission Group (with all permissions assigned) and new API User (not regular User) in Engaging Networks that will be used just for your Civic Shout integration
Here is the Civic Shout IP that you'll need to paste into the Remote Address field when creating your API User. Copy and paste it just as it is here, ensuring theres no space around it when pasted in. 54.175.230.252
Step 2:
In Civic Shout, add the API key associated with your new API User and your account’s region value
Then, using the dropdowns, select the field you want a contact’s cell phone to be saved to along with the opt-in question fields that you want to use to save each supporters opt-in status
Step 3:
Finally, and this is IMPORTANT, you’ll need to add an Origin Source to new ads and existing ads (that you want to run)—so that it will be added to supporters in EN as they sign your Lead Ads. To restate, this is at the ad level. If you don't add Origin Source to ads that you want to be up and running, it will NOT be added to Supporter records otherwise
A few things to be aware of:
Your integration will not work as expected if you change the names of Opt-in or Supporter fields without updating them here after you do so
Only leads that come in AFTER you set up the integration will be synced
Don't forget to add Origin Source to existing adds that you want to run
